Fayetteville, AR – The walking dead are not limited to the night, as a young woman and her fiancé find out in Hannover House’s zombie thriller “Dawn of the Living Dead.” Featuring an array of walking dead of all ages (including a zombie baby), “Dawn of the Living Dead” will be available on DVD August 7th at a suggested retail price of $14.98.
“Zombie films have been walking the earth ever since George Romero started it all with his classic ‘Night of the Living Dead’ in 1968,” said Eric Parkinson, CEO, Hannover House. “‘Dawn of the Living Dead’ pays due homage to Romero’s classic, but also takes on a unique story that horror fans have never quite witnessed before.”
Renee Summers (Amanda Bauman) and her fiancé Jeffrey (Joe Estevez, brother of Martin Sheen) move into what they believe is a quiet, unassuming house in the desert of southern California. What they soon find out, however, is that a mass murder occurred on these grounds, leaving a family of undead to walk the earth.
Renee learns that the Mayan culture will not allow the murdered family to rest until they receive a traditional burial. Trapped in their undead state, the family walks the desert, foraging for human flesh. Renee soon finds herself on a mission: to bury the undead according to their culture, while saving herself in the process.
“Dawn of the Living Dead” was written, produced and directed by David Heavener (who also stars in the film), and features a cameo by ‘70s television star Todd Bridges (as he’s never been seen before!). Extras including a behind-the-scenes reel and theatrical trailer.
