Jigsaw has disappeared.
With his new apprentice Amanda (Shawnee Smith), the puppet-master behind the cruel, intricate games that have terrified a community and baffled police has once again eluded capture and vanished. While city detectives scramble to locate him, Doctor Lynn Denlon (Bahar Soomekh) and Jeff (Angus Macfayden) are unaware that they are about to become the latest pawns on his vicious chessboard.
This Halloween, from Twisted Pictures and Lionsgate comes the most psychologically intense and disturbing chapter in this horror franchise. SAW III stars Shawnee Smith and Tobin Bell. The producers are Mark Burg, Oren Koules and the late Gregg Hoffman, to whom the film will be dedicated. The film is executive produced by James Wan, Leigh Whannell, Peter Block, Jason Constantine, Stacey Testro and Dan Heffner.
Lionsgate will release SAW III nationwide on October 27, 2006.

Star of SAW to Bleed for Charity
Tobin Bell's character Jigsaw has become legendary for giving his victims impossible choices and asking "How Much Blood Will You Shed To Stay Alive". Now Tobin is bottling up his own blood for the American Red Cross.
There will be a symbolic yet very small amount of Tobin's blood mixed in the red ink vat to print the SAW III posters. The first poster off the press will be auctioned off live online to raise money for the American Red Cross. Auction will be hosted by our partners Stub Hub and is scheduled to go live the afternoon of October 10th.
The SAW franchise originated with blood & has stayed true to its bloody roots. From the very successful blood drives that have collected over 14,400 pints of blood to the provocative taglines:
The original SAW- "How Much Blood Will You Shed to Stay Alive?" SAW II- "Oh Yes, There Will Be Blood" and SAW III- "Bleed Till You’re Better"
Below please find some blood drive specifics:
1st Annual Blood Drive
4,249 pints collected = 12,747 lives saved
The blood drives took place in the top 15 markets at various blood centers and colleges.
2nd Annual Blood Drive
10,154 pints collected = 30,000+ lives saved
The blood drives took place in the top 25 markets at various blood centers and colleges.
This year we expect the blood drive to be even bigger and Lionsgate is also hosting a blood drive through the Red Cross at their offices on Tuesday, October 24th from 10:0am - 4:00pm.
